BNA Under 14 & Senior Division Make-Up Matches

The Bernard Park, the home of Bermuda Netball Association action was in full swing with make-up matches in the Under 14 Division and the Senior Division.

Under 14 League Division

Storm 20 Phoenix Embers 9


The Storm defeated the Phoenix Embers 20 – 9, Jaelyn Rewan would lead the way with 15 goals, while Makaylie Smith added 3 goals and Amayah Burt scored twice, while Anisa Seon was the team MVP. The Phoenix Embers got 6 goals from Kammie Mills, with Sydney Santos adding 3 goals, with Suresh Kumar the MVP.

North Village Lady Rams White 23 Lindo’s Cubs 7

The North Village Lady Rams White team defeated the Lindo’s Tigers 23 – 7, the North Village Lady Rams White got 11 goals from Aniyah Minors, Ra’eesah Robinson added 9 goals and MVP Nevaeh Swan scored three times, Chelsea Almeida scored 5 goals for the Lindo’s Tigers, with Moriah Bridgwater adding two goals.

Seniors Division

Phoenix Heat 50 North Village Lady Rams 20


MVP Danielle Rayner scored 34 goals to lead the Phoenix Heat to a 50 – 20 win over the North Village Lady Rams, Ebonie Cox chipped in with 12 goals and Eshe Grant added 4 goals. The North Village Lady Rams got 9 goals from Rhiannon Higgins, Coriah Simmons added 7 goals and Kessiah Jackson would score 4 times, Akeyla Furbert was named the teams MVP.

The Phoenix victory put them at a tie for first place on points with the Lindo’s Tigers, but Phoenix goal average is superior and that puts them in 1st place.

The game of the night saw Docksiders take on Storm in a see-saw battle that ended 49 - 49. Docksiders had Rosy Graham handle her busy in defense which gave the young storm team a run for their money. Nabiilah Nasir and Elishae Smith took on the challenge and more than rose to the occasion scoring goal after goal. Debre Evans in the defense for the Storm had the likes of six foot Jess Reid to contend with for rebounds with Selah Tuzo giving her opposite a run for her money at center.

The Storm were led by Nabiilah Nasir with 31 goals, while Elishae Smith scored 16 goals and Zakiyah Durham scored 2 goals, with Debra Evans named the MVP. MVP Jess Reid scored 35 goals for the Docksiders, while Charlie Bridgman added 14 goals.
