BNA Senior League Make Up Matches

IslandStats.com
The Bermuda Netball Association held three Senior League make-up matches at Bernard Park, with a surprise result as well as a top of the table clash.

The surprise of the night saw Robin Hood draw with the North Village Lady Rams 28 - 28, in fact Robin Hood almost pulled off the win. The final whistle blew as Robin Hood took a shot but the goal was not counted, the result would be such a confidence booster for them to receive a well-deserved share of the points.

The North Village Lady Rams would get 13 goals from MVP Nikita Trott, while Jahtuere Trott added 9 goals, Darrika Simons scored 5 times and Sara Tufts-Robinson scored once. Charlie Bridgman led Robin Hood with and MVP performance 21 goals, while Kessiah Jackson added 7 goals.

The Thunder won the battle of the Storm, with the Storm Thunder defeating the Storm Lightning 31 – 15, the Storm Thunder would get 15 goals from Selah Tuzo, with MVP Nabiilah Nasir adding 9 goals and Kaamilah Nasir scored 7 goals. Jaylynn Hines would score 13 goals for the Storm Lightning and Sonja Townsend would add the other 2 goals, with Zakiyah Durham named the teams MVP.

The game of the night was a top of the table clash between the League Leaders Lindo’s Tigers and the Phoenix Heat with the Phoenix Heat prevailing and avenge their earlier loss of the season 32 - 19. Unfortunate for the Lindo’s Tigers they were without their top Goal Shooter Jahkenya Trott, which showed as they were only able to score their first two goals in the last few minutes of the first quarter. This dictated the game from start to finish as Phoenix dominated.

The Phoenix Heat were led by Danielle Raynor who scored 29 goals, while Arkeita Fubler added 3 goals, with Kiante Lightbourne was named the team’s MVP. The Lindo’s Tigers would get 11 goals from Demiqua Daniels, Charlene Gomez added 7 goals and Apryl Jackson scored once, Kiahnda Pearman was the teams MVP.
