BNA Senior League Make Up Matches

The Bermuda Netball Association hosted a makeup Triple-Header at the Bernard Park which produced 217 goals on the night.

In the opener the Phoenix Heat defeated Robin Hood 87 – 18, MVP Danielle Raynor returned from an injury to lead the Phoenix Heat to victory scoring 78 goals, while Arkeita Fubler added 7 goals and Kandrea Romaine scored twice, Robin Hood got 13 goals from Charlie Brigman, while Jess Arneil added 5 goals.

The much awaited clash between Lindo’s Tigers and Storm Thunder was played with the Lindo’s Tigers emerging victorious 36 – 22 over the Storm Thunder. The first quarter ended in a tie 7 all, with the match close at this point it was about who would make the least amount of errors and to Lindo’s Tigers delight it was them. Kiahnda Pearman gobbled up many overhead balls with Apryl Jackson using her speed and intensity to assist. This defensive combo was on point while MVP Jakenya Trott was a goal scoring machine scoring 28 goals with Charlene Gomez adding 8 goals. The young Storm Thunder teams were fearless and played with heart and discipline with their defending duo of Debre Evans and Olivia Onyia making the Tigers work hard for every goal they got. Storm Thunder MVP Selah Tuzo’s speed and agility combined with Nabiilah Nasir’s movement and scoring ability made the Lindo’s Tigers fight just as hard. Nasir finished with 15 goals, while Tuzo added 5 goals and Kaamilah Nasir scored twice.

The final game of the night saw the North Village Rams defeat the Storm Lightning 37 – 17. The North Village Rams got 14 goals from Jahtuere Trott, Darrika Simons added 11 goals, Nikita Trott scored 9 times and Sara Tuft-Robinson scored three times, Mikeersh Moore was named the North Village Rams MVP. The Storm Lightning were led by MVP Shivaughn Lee who scored 12 goals and Sonja Townsend added 5 goals.
