Barnes Stands on Daytona Kart Week Podium Day Three

Scott Barnes started Day Three of the World Karting Association Daytona Kart Week in the winner’s circle.

As he did the day before, Barnes would drive to victory in the 206 Margay Ignite Masters F1 Race, drivers completed 9 laps with Barnes clocking a time of 31:59.421, with his fastest lap coming on his fifth time around the track clocking a time of 3:06.552.

During the 125 Stock Honda Shifter Class, Barnes was forced to retire from the race a day after having to do the same thing. Barnes had completed 5 of the 9 laps in a time of 13:27.277, with his fastest lap being 2:12.114 which was lap 4.

Barnes would also have engine problems in the 125cc Sprint Shifter race, Barnes was only able to complete 2 laps, Barnes had his fastest lap time of 2:11.937.

Barnes on social media said, “Well another Daytona Kart Week in the books!”

“I had some highs and some lows, but overall I am leaving Daytona pretty happy! Two 2nd place’s and two Big Wins baby” continued Barnes.

Barnes went on, “To win at such a legendary track is always a racers dream, to now have 3 Daytona Kart Week wins under my belt feels awesome.”

“I didn’t have the best of luck in the shifters this year, but I had some epic races overall and happy with the results overall.

Bringing some more hardware back to Bermuda!

See you next year Daytona, hopefully, next year some Bermuda Boys will join me on the track.”
