Scott Barnes had a good first day back in racing after 6 months out of a kart taking part in the SKUSA Pro Tour Summer Nationals.
Barnes picked up his first SKUSA Podium winning the Preliminary G1 Class in a 10 lap time of 12:49.278.
Barnes said, “It was a good points day with the Heat win and Finals win.
They are racing Pro1/Pro2, G1/G2 all together but Pro Classes start in front of us G’s, so I finished 15th overall in final out of 30 karts.
Being out of a kart for months definitely showed, I have to find some speed tomorrow and get the Kart fitness back up, but a good start to a long 12 races in 10 days.”
In the G1 Class Final, Barnes would clock a 16 lap winning time of 20:13.732.
