Chase Cooper and his St. Mary’s College of Maryland Sailing teammates competed in the MAISA South Team Race Championships.
Light winds kept sailors and coaches on the water for a long day, with U.S. Naval Academy claiming the title, Cooper and his St Mary's teammates finished second, and Georgetown finished third as the three teams have Qualified for Team Race Nationals.
St. Mary’s finished with a record of 7 & 3. St. Mary’s recorded 2 wins over Christopher Newport University, Old Dominion University, and George Washington University, and they defeated Georgetown University once.
They would fall twice to U. S. Naval Academy Midshipmen, and once to Georgetown University.
