The Royal Bermuda Yacht Club's shortened Keelboat Nationals Championships got underway on the Great Sound in Blustery conditions.
Traditionally the Bermuda Keelboat Regatta sees visiting teams from North America taking part but this year all the teams are local.
Three races were held on Day One in the IOD & J105 Fleets.
Patrick Cooper sailing out of the Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club and Craig Davis sailing out of the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club are joint leaders of the IOD Fleet with 6 points, Cooper would finish 4th in the first race and then he won the second and third race, while Davis finished second in all three races.
Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club’s Peter Bromby and Lee White won all three races to lead the J105 Fleet with 3 points, while Keith Chiappa sailing out of the Spanish Point Boat Club is in second with 7 points, with finishes of 3rd, 2nd, 2nd.
