Bermuda Sailors Continue Strong Performances in Italy

Christian Ebbin and Magnus Ringsted are competing in the 37° Lake Garda Meeting Optimist Class Regatta in Italy.
A total of four races have been sailed thus far in a Fleet of 934 Sailors. Competitors after the fourth race can drop their worse finish with both the Bermuda Sailors looking to advance to the Gold Fleet.
Ringsted has had a good start to the Regatta and came off the water in 12th place overall with 9 Net Points, Ringsted finished 6th in the first race, he then won the second race, he finished 5th in the third race of the Regatta and finished with a 3rd place finish in the fourth race.
Ebbin after the four races finds himself in 22nd place with 16 Net Points, Ebbin crossed the line 30th in the first race, before finishing 4th in the second race, he would cross the line 9th in the third race, before finishing 3rd in the fourth race.
Also competing in Italy is Campbell Patton he is competing in the Laser Youth Easter Meeting.
Six races have been in total in the Regatta with Patton 4th overall with 20 Net Points.
Of the six races Patton has four top fourth place finishes which includes two wins, a second and a fourth.
Patton opened the Regatta crossing the line in 4th place in the First Race, but the second race officials ruled Patton’s boat was deemed to have prematurely started the race and thus he was disqualified from the race and awarded the maximum number of points of 64.
Race three saw Patton win the race, he would then finish 2nd in the fourth race. Patton next finished 12th in the fifth race before closing out with a win in the sixth race.
