Thirteen International Finn sailors including Rockal Evans have joined 27 Australian Finn sailors for the Ronstan 2019 Australian Finn National Championships.
Evans had a mixed opening day in mixed conditions, the First Race was sailed in light wind around 8knots, while the Second Race saw the winds increase around 25knots. Evans came off the water in 12th place overall with 24 points.
Evans would finish the first race of the day in 9th place, he would cross the line 15th in the second race of the day.
Evans speaking with www.islandstats.com said, “I am feeling pretty good with my position, but there is room for improvements.”
Giles Scott from Great Britain leads after two races with 2 points, Nicholas Heiner from the Netherlands is second with 8 points and Jakos Lilley and Oliver Twedell both from Australia are T3rd with 10 points.
