Emirates Team New Zealand came off the water still in firm control, much to the disappointment of the Oracle Team USA crowd splitting races on Day Three in the 35th America's Cup Final on the Great Sound.

With a big buzz around following Oracle Team USA’s first win in six races in the Finals, Emirates Team New Zealand come off the water with the same advantage they had going in and that's a three point lead, they lead 4 - 1.

In the opening race of the day and the 5th of the series saw and early problem for Oracle Team USA as they were handed a penalty for crossing the start line too early, handing the advantage to Emirates Team New Zealand.

A good recovery from Oracle Team USA who closed the gap on Emirates Team New Zealand at Gate 2, the American boat certainly looked quicker from last weekend.

But just like in previous races disaster for Oracle Team USA as the teams passed for a second time on leg 3/7 Oracle Team USA are handed another penalty, they had to fall 2 boat lengths behind Emirates Team New Zealand all but handing them the fifth straight victory.

Emirates Team New Zealand held a one minute and 3 second advantage over Oracle Team USA at Gate 5, heading into the closing stages, as no mistakes from Emirates Team New Zealand, as they sailed to victory in Race 5 of The America's Cup Match, presented by Louis Vuitton.

Race six of the Americas Cup Match, presented by @LouisVuitton got underway with a clean start from both team this time and it was Oracle Team USA who stole the early lead over Emirates Team New Zealand.

Small but significant landmark as Oracle Team USA reached mark 1 ahead of Emirates Team New Zealand for the first time, it was two lead changes on leg 2 of 7 as Emirates Team New Zealand took the lead briefly before Oracle Team USA regain it up to Gate 2.

On leg 4 Oracle Team USA decided to jib ahead of the gate but the gamble ultimately didn't work as Emirates Team New Zealand beat them to the gate.

The teams split on leg 5/7 as Oracle Team USA looked for a wind shift and any advantage in their pursuit of Emirates Team New Zealand.

It was really exciting racing as the team pass closely twice in the lead up to Gate 5, Oracle Team USA came out narrowly ahead of Emirates Team New Zealand.

From there on Oracle Team USA were in control of the race and they sailed on to win their first win of the regatta Final.
