Reggie Lambe, Willie Clemons, and their Stowmarket Town teammates went down 2 – 1 to Brentwood in their Isthmian North Play-off Semi-Final at The Arena.
An injury-time winner from Ashley Nzala saw Brentwood earn a place in Friday’s play-off final when they will visit Canvey Island to try and win promotion to the Isthmian Premier Division.
Lambe started for Stowmarket, with Clemons on the bench, Clemons did make his way onto the field in the 82nd minute, but they could not go any further.

Milan Butterfield and his Alfreton Town teammates secured their fourth consecutive league win in a row after a convincing performance against Curzon Ashton. Goals from Matt Rhead either side of halftime and strikes from Lewis Salmon and Dom Smith saw the hosts secure all three points in a 4-2 win at the Impact Arena to maintain their playoff push.
This result leaves Alfreton in eighth place, just one point off the playoff spots meaning their push for the playoff is well and truly alive. Billy Heath’s men face another tough test against Chester FC at the Impact Arena on Saturday, April 30th where they will hope to cement a place in the playoffs.
