Nahki Wells was initially named as a substitute, however, he withdrew before kick-off with a tight groin as Jed Wallace’s second-half penalty was enough to separate the teams at the Den as Bristol City’s unbeaten run came to an end.
It had been a fairly even game but former City loanee Benik Afobe won Millwall a penalty, which substitute Wallace converted just after the hour-mark.
