NAHKI WELLS

Nahki Wells and his Bristol City teammates were sunk at the Riverside by a 70th-minute Matt Crooks goal as Middlesbrough took all three points.

Crooks got on the end of Uche Ikpeazu’s header from a free-kick to put the ball past Dan Bentley from close range.

Bristol City had pulled themselves back into the game in the 60th minute when Andy King scored his first goal for City from Matty James’ free-kick, after Ikpeazu had given Middlesbrough a half-time lead.

DALE EVE

Dale Eve and his Spennymoor Town teammates saw an unlikely hero in Scott McLean as Spennymoor claimed a statement victory at Boston United in front of a crowd of 1,852 at the Jakemans Community Stadium.

McLean ran through from a Brad Abbott pass to secure a deserved win after Glen Taylor and Danny Elliott exchanged spot-kicks.

JUSTIN DONAWA

KOLE HALL

Kole Hall and his Radcliffe teammates went down in their season opener 2 – 1 to Grantham.

Sam Scrivens scored the winner in the 94th minute, tapping into the bottom corner.

In the 25th minute and against the run of play Grantham took the lead, Aydemir tapped it into the back of the net after a good save landed at his feet.

In the 53rd minute, Bobby Grant got a well-deserved equalizer for Radcliffe, heading home from close range.

KEZIAH MARTIN

Keziah Martin and his Kidderminster teammates came away with a 2-1 win over York City FC.

In the 21st minute, Kidderminster took the lead, a defense splitting ball through to Sam Austin who crosses low - absolutely perfectly – for Ashley Hemmings to fire home at the far post.

The home side fly out of the blocks in the second period. A lofted ball from the right finds Heaney in behind, firing in on the half volley, but in the 88t minute, Austin found the back of the net for the winner.

ROGER LEE

Roger Lee and his Mickleover FC teammates began the season with a 3 – 0 defeat at the hands of South Shields.

A Blair Adams’ fierce strike and two debut goals from Ntumba Massanka saw off the challenge of Mickleover at a buoyant 1st Cloud Arena.

SEKE SPENCE

Academy graduate Seke Spence made the Ilkeston Town starting 11 making his full league debut.

Ilkeston would come away with a 3 – 1 win, they would get 2 goals from Billy Bennett and a single strike from Alex Troke.
