Premier - Football Has Been Given Permission to Resume

IslandStats.com
In an open conversation on Twitter, Premier David Burt indicated that “Football has been given permission to resume”, however, there has been nothing said publicly officially.

In the back and forth, the person The_BDAOfficial wrote, “We need to put a mandatory 14-day quarantine in law for persons who recently traveled since the state of emergency is there; I understand the point of curfew but that also isn’t stopping persons from attending public places after having their arrival tests.”

To which the Premier replied, “A 14-day mandatory quarantine will shut down our tourism industry which is on life support and is not the answer. People need to follow the precautions and guidelines that are in place and we will be fine.”

The_BDAOfficial, then mentioned, “Understandable and I agree...Our sports are suffering from people’s inability to listen and from experience I know you love watching your team out the rec, Sports provides balance and is a stress reliever....Maybe we can play closed venue matches here?”

The Premier then replied, “Football has been given permission to resume. Footballers have been a part of the saliva screening programme and we have confidence that we can return to play safely. The Ministry of Health will institute the necessary precautions.”
