The plan has three pillars — football development, capacity building, and good governance — and hues towards training, retooling, and grassroots activities.
CFU General Secretary Camara David said he looks forward to working with the Member Associations and other stakeholders to implement the framework.
“Strategic Plan 2.0 is a product of the Caribbean Football Union, which takes into account input from our membership. It’s is equally ambitious and achievable, and the team and I look forward to implementing it, with the continued cooperation and collaboration of the 31 member associations including Bermuda,” David said.
The overall goals and objectives include increasing CFU representation at all FIFA international tournaments; increasing participation at women’s, youth, and grassroots levels; having at least one panel of CFU referees at every FIFA World Cup; improving the capacity of coaching departments; incorporating new technologies, and training.
