Nahki Wells and his Bristol City teammates have been knocked out of the Emirates FA Cup at the Fifth Round stage by Sheffield United after Billy Sharp’s second-half penalty at Bramall Lane.

Bristol City went down to ten-men when referee Robert Jones gave Alfie Mawson his marching orders in the 65th minute as the ball struck the center-back’s hand as he flung himself to block a David McGoldrick shot.

Sharp converted the penalty which beat Max O’Leary to see Sheffield United advance to the last eight of the competition.

Kenni Thompson and her Civitas Santa Teresa Badajoz teammates pulled off an upset in their Spanish Women’s First Division match-up against Atlético Madrid.

Going into the match on the road Thompson came off the bench in the 54th minute and her teammates started the match in 16th pace with 12 points, they edged Atlético Madrid who is in 5th place 1 – 0.

In minute 57 'the first and only goal of the game was scored, with a long ball from Civitas Santa Teresa Badajoz goalkeeper Yoli saw Belén Sousa beat the home goalkeeper with a strike to make it 1-0.

The win moved Civitas Santa Teresa Badajoz up to 14th in the Standings.
