Dale Eve and his teammates were back in action over this Christmas period with a match against Gateshead FC at the Gateshead International Stadium in their Vanarama National League North Division battle.
Spennymoor took the lead in the 6th minute with their first attack as the two strikers link up, Frank Mulhern made his way into space and fired in a low cross which Glen Taylor side-footed past the Gateshead goalkeeper.
In the 24th minute, Gateshead’s Jordan Cook was sent off as he went in high and late on Adriano Moke. Four minutes later Eve came up with a big save to deny Jordan Preston.
In the 51st minute Spennymoor doubled the lead, a Nathan Buddle long ball was kept in superbly by Taylor, the striker found Robert Ramshaw in space and his shot found the corner of the net, and then in the 72nd minute, Taylor would record an assist, as Ramshaw scored his second goal of the game to make it 3 – 0.
Gateshead would score a late consolation goal as Greg Olley's strike flew past Eve from range.
Milan Butterfield was once again not in the Guiseley teams as his teammates were back in action for the second time in three days taking on York City at Bootham Crescent ahead of their move to their new stadium.
Josh King's first-half strike was the only goal of the game as York City defeated Guiseley 1 - 0.
Kezaih Martin and his Kidderminster teammate's match at Aggborough against AFC Telford was postponed.
