NAHKI WELLS

Famara Diédhiou came off the bench to score his first goal of the season as Nahki Wells and his Bristol City teammates put their Covid-hit preparations behind them to pile more misery on bottom-of-the-table Derby County.

The strike was enough to secure a second 1-0 scoreline in a row for City and they picked up their third consecutive win, as well as a sixth clean sheet.

Antoine Semenyo proved himself a threat though and after twice being denied by the Derby shot-stopper, he recorded his sixth assist of the campaign when his cutback found Diédhiou, who fired low into the net in the 78th minute.

KANE CRICHLOW

Kane Crichlow was an unused substitute for Watford as they drew 1 – 1 with Queens Park Rangers.

Watford took the lead in the 3rd minute when Ben Wilmot finished from close range in only the third minute.

Queens Park Rangers were the stronger force after half-time and struck in the 77th minute to claim a point.

Ilias Chair capitalized on a well-worked team move, keeping his cool to slide beyond Ben Foster from 10 yards at the Loft End.

MILAN BUTTERFIELD

Milan Butterfield was not in the Chesterfield team as they conceded two late goals as they fell to a 3-2 defeat to Notts County at the Technique Stadium.

Caretaker manager John Dungworth made one change to the starting line-up with Tyler Denton coming in for Butterfield.

County took the lead in the 21st minute; Ben Turner headed a corner goalwards which Enzio Boldewijn eventually tapped home from point-blank range. The score was level in the 33rd minute, Jonathan Smith received the ball on the edge of the area from Curtis Weston and the midfielder fired his shot across goal and into the bottom left corner.

With less than 15 minutes to go, Chesterfield took the lead. Tyler Denton swung the ball into Tom Denton, who swooped down low and headed past the fully stretched Sam Slocombe.

Chesterfield looked to hold on for dear life to keep their lead. However, in added time Ruben Rodrigues headed past the Chesterfield goalkeeper from a Notts County free-kick.

With less than 60 seconds to go of the three minutes of added time, the visitors stole a late, late winner. Kyle Wooton powerfully headed home from a set-piece to win the game at the death.

WILLIE CLEMONS

Willie Clemons and his Dalkurd teammates went down at home to Trelleborg in the Superettan Sweden Football League.

The lone goal of this game came in stoppage time as Safiu Fatawu for the back of the net for Trelleborg to claim all three points.
