Kole Hall and his Radcliffe Football Club teammates went down to Buxton Football Club 4 – 2 in their Northern Premier League opening match of the season
Buxton took the lead through Tommy Elliot from close range in the 18th minute.
In the 31st minute, the score was level when Jean Louis Akpa-Akpro was brought down in the box for a penalty and Matty Crothers slammed the spot-kick into the top corner.
In the 36th minute, Buxton went back in front after a quick break forward, James Walshaw scored from close range. Buxton went up 3 – 1 in the 53rd minute after they were awarded a penalty that was converted.
Radcliffe were back in the match in the 56th minute when Luca Navarro side-footed his shot into the top corner, but twenty minutes later Connor O’Grady poked home at the back post to restore Buxton’s two-goal lead.
Keziah Martin and his Kidderminster teammates were defeated 4-0 in friendly action in what was Aggborough Stadium’s only pre-season fixture.
Martin started the match on the bench.
J'NAI BUTTERFIELD-STEEDE
J'nai Butterfield-Steede and his Kendal Town Football Club teammates went on the road for their first Northern Premier League game of the season taking on Prescot Cables at the IP Truck Parts Stadium.
Butterfield-Steede started the match on the bench, as Prescot Cables took the lead in the 6th minute when Michael Monaghan scored, Prescot would double their lead in the 90th minute when Aaron Fleming scored to claim the 2 – 0 win.
