Goals in each half from Mark Anderson and Frank Mulhern assured Dale Eve and his Spennymoor Town teammates continued their winning start to pre-season.
In a finely balanced first half which saw Eve make three impressive saves, Anderson’s dink over former Moors goalkeeper Shane Bland broke the deadlock past the half-hour mark.
Chances were at a premium in a scrappy second period, but Mulhern added his second goal in four days to put the game out of sight.
It was the home side who started the brighter, with Eve making two smart early saves from threatening Whitby attacks down the right.
Eve showcased his shot-stopping ability seconds before the interval when he tipped a pinpoint goal-bound free-kick around the post.
