Wells opened the scoring early with a first-time curling effort before Paterson doubled City's lead with a shot from a tight angle at the Riverside.
Wells scored his second after meeting Weimann's pass - his hat-trick of assists - and slotted the ball past Dejan Stojanović.
Wells was named as Quest's Championship Player of the Weekend, while all three were included in Whoscored and Infogol's respective Team of the Weekend shortlists.
