Bermuda Football Community Saddened by Crevoisier Passing

IslandStats.com
The Bermuda Football Community is saddened to learn of the passing Jacques Crevoisier, aged 72.

Crevoisier, will be remembered for love of football and people, his humor and willingness to share with those willing to listen and learn.

Henrik Schroder - ABC Football

I cannot in word express the untimely loss of Jacques; as a friend, an inspiration, a football oracle, and as a father of the current licensing schemes in Bermuda.

I had the pleasure of working with him for over 10 years, and if you look at the amount of structure and content that has been produced during that time, it is clear, at least to me and Andrew Bascome, that Bermuda football has a lot to thank him for.

Let’s continue in his spirit and determination for the betterment of Bermuda football.

Richard & Robert Calderon, who 1st brought Jacques to Bermuda through the Bermuda Football Foundation

‘Jacques has touched the lives of so many local coaches and I’m sure that each one will remember him in their own special way. But I feel certain that the one common thread will be that their knowledge of football improved through his tutelage and relationship.

I first met Jacques via the telephone and by e-mail. Through the work that we were doing at the Bermuda Football Foundation, we sought the expertise of a top Coach Educator and we were fortunate to secure Jacques for a 2 1/2 day coach education clinic in February 2006, which was delivered to 48 local coaches. You know when you know, and after sitting through the first segment, we knew that we wanted to establish a long term relationship with Jacques.

What followed was a Coach education trip for Scott Morton.
Jacques assisted us with planning a 12 day program were Scott spent 1/2 of his stay at Clairefontaine and the remaining days at FC Sochaux, working with Academy Directors and Youth coaches.

Several similar programs followed for other local coaches.

There was so much more that followed and what he left behind was a clear road map to follow.

His presence will be missed but his work will surely live on.

Mark Wade Bermuda Football Association President

The Bermuda Football Association is deeply saddened by the passing of Jacques Crevoisier on Sunday May 15th. It is with heavy hearts that we contemplate coach education without the guidance of Jacques or JC to some.

In Bermuda Jacques was known for his directness and vast knowledge of football. He will also be remembered for his stature in rising above the politics of sport; a trait we strive to emulate. The numerous social media posts from coaches are a testament to his work here.

He was ever present in Bermuda for over 10 years tutoring coaches and contributing to the resurgence of coach education. He opened his international contacts to the benefit of Bermuda and his contribution to football will be evident for many years.

We take to this opportunity to publicly send our heartfelt condolences to ABC Foundation and the Bermuda Football Coaches Association. And we send our thoughts of comfort to his family and friends across the world.
