Kidderminster Manager Russ Penn has confirmed he has begun talks with members of his squad ahead of the new season, while a number of players are to leave Aggborough.
Following his appointment as permanent Manager last week, Russ has wasted no time in starting to shape his squad for 2020/21.
He, along with Jimmy O’Connor, has held online meetings with all players and, having consulted with Interim CEO Neil Male, made the decisions as outlined below.
Russ said: “This is a really difficult part of the job and not one any Manager enjoys, but we are making decisions in the best interests of the club and, in my opinion, to give us the best base on which to build a strong squad for next season.
Russ has opened discussions with Milan Butterfield, while Knory Scott will not be offered a contact for the 2020/2021 season.
“I’d like to thank each of the players who will be leaving us for their efforts. Some of them have been with the club for a long time and given great service; we wish them all well.
Russ added: “These are challenging times for everyone but, as a club, we have so much to look forward to when we do return.
“We need everyone going in the same direction next season. This club has to be full of positivity.
“This closed season will be very different and one we have to be clever with in terms of using our experience and contacts, but I am confident that, with a bit of patience, there’s a lot to be excited about.”
