Premier David Burt, presented a cheque to the Eastern County Cricket Association totaling $20,000, to assist with the upcoming series.
Premier Burt also paid respect to Carlton “Pluke” Smith, the former Cleveland County President who passed away this past weekend.
Back in 2014, with Smith as President Cleveland County did the unthinkable, they defeated the St. David's Cricket Club to win the Eastern Counties Cup and the long wait of 33 years finally came to an end.
Today’s presentation was made to the Eastern County Cricket Association President Steven Douglas, who was flanked by Presidents and officials from Cleveland County, Bailey’s bay, St. David’s, and Flatt’s Victoria.
