Several players will be hopping across to the United States for the upcoming United States (US) Open Twenty20 (T20) tournament which will take place from Tuesday at the Central Broward Regional Park in Fort Lauderdale.
Bermuda’s Delray Rawlins has been included in the Atlanta Param Veers team, Rawlins, however, has decided not to travel to Florida for the tournament
The Atlanta Param Veers team also includes captain Rayad Emrit, Chris Gayle, and Steven Taylor.
During last year's event, Rawlins was the only player to score a century in the 2019 US Open Cricket Tournament, all-rounder Rawlins stole the limelight as he smacked 101 off 35 balls in a 10-over match at the US Open tournament.
The 22-year-old left-hander hit a whopping 14 sixes en route his knock as his team Paramveer Tigers 19 won by 24 runs against the Smashers.
The 12th edition of the US Open T20 promises to be highly-exciting, as it has already attracted a lot of international stars. The US Open T20 will feature eight teams split into two groups.
Group A: Somerset Cavaliers, Samp Army, US All-Stars, Punjab Blues
Group B: Atlanta Param Veers, 22 Yards, Afghan Zwanan, Brampton Pacers
The top two sides from each group will qualify for the semi-finals. US Open T20 kicks off on December 15th and will conclude with the finals scheduled to be played on December 20th.
