www.islandstats.com can reveal that members of the Bermuda Cricket Umpires Association (BCUA) initial deadline for payment has past.
Last week www.islandstats.com reported members of the BCUA decided to withdraw their services for the upcoming 2020 season due to the failure of being paid for 2019 services.
A statement provided to www.islandstats.com revealed – “I can let you know now in advance of the 2020 season that no member of the BCUA will be setting foot on any cricket ground unless they are paid at the agreed rate on or before 16th December 2019.”
www.islandstats.com has been able to confirm that as of December 17th no payment has been received, with the deadline passed.
www.islandstats.com contacted James McKirdy, the BCUA President who declined to comment on anything involving the Umpires and payment.
