Bermuda National Coach Herbie Bascome picked up his first win as the Men’s Senior coach as the National Team put together a solid performance in defeating the Bahamas at the White Hill Field by 162 runs.
Bermuda got off to a dream start with openers Treadwell Gibbons and Pierre Smith putting on 137 runs for the opening wicket partnership, Gibbons would lead Bermuda in batting scoring 102 before retiring hurt, Gibbons faced 109 ball, hitting 10 fours and 2 sixes, while Smith added 50 before he was the first wicket to fall.
In reply Bahamas were bowled all out for 107, Ryan Tappin was their top scorer with 24, while Mackih McGowan was the pick of the Bermuda Bowlers with figures of 7-0-29-4, while Kwasi James bowled 5-0-19-3.
