St. George's President Confirms Cann as Cup Match Captain

The St. George’s Cricket Club President Neil Paynter has confirmed to www.islandstats.com that Lionel Cann will lead the Cup Match Challengers and the 2019 host of the Cup Match Classic St. George’s Cricket Club.
Paynter confirmed that the Selection Committee after a process of interviewing several players for the position, they determined that Cann was the man for the position.
Following the Selection Committee’s recommendation the Management Committee of the Club ratified the Captains Selection and thus handed the Captaincy back to Cann who back in 2011 guided the club to victory at the Wellington Oval, before losing it the next year.
