Essex 187 MCC 73/2 - (Close of Play) Essex lead by 114 runs
Delray Rawlins and his Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) teammates took to the field against Essex who won the toss and elected to bat in a Four-Day Champion County Match at the Kensington Oval in Barbados.
The match is being played Day-Night with Rawlins becoming the first Bermuda player to suit up for the MCC.
Essex were comfortable at one point sitting at 89/2, but they lost 8 wickets scoring 98 runs in 31.2 overs to be all out for 187. Opener Nick Browne was their top scorer with 48, while Richard Gleeson was the pick of the MCC bowlers with figures of 18-5-50-5.
In reply MCC reached 73/2 at the close of play, Sam Northeast is at the wicket on 35 not out, Rawlins is lined up to bat at number 6 behind Paul Collingwood.
