Delray Rawlins and his Sussex teammates now have the venues for Sussex 2nd XI’s 2018 away fixtures confirmed.
The four-day friendly between combined Hampshire/Surrey and Sussex/Essex sides from Monday April 23rd to Thursday April 26th will take place at the Aegeas Bowl.
Sussex’s one-day 2nd XI trophy match against Hampshire on Tuesday May 8th is at the same venue.
On the following Monday (May 14th), Sussex will travel to Newport CC to play Glamorgan in the same competition, with the three day match 2nd XI Championship fixture between the sides match following immediately after.
Sussex play Surrey twice at the LSE ground in New Malden. Firstly in the 2nd XI Trophy on Thursday 24th May and then in the Championship between Monday June 18th and Wednesday June 21st.
Next up are 2nd XI T20 matches against Kent at Beckenham on Thursday June 28th and Somerset at Taunton Vale on Tuesday July 10th. The latter is followed by a three-day Championship match versus Somerset at the same venue.
Sussex will continue the defence of their 2nd XI T20 title against Gloucestershire on Monday July 23rd at Bath CC, where a Championship match between the sides will follow straight after.
Sussex’s season on the road concludes with a three-day friendly against MCC Young Cricketers, the venue for which remains unconfirmed.
