Lloyd Smith is running for President
IslandStats.com
www.islandstats.com can now confirm that only two candidates have been nominated for the position of President for the Bermuda Cricket Board.

Persons can only be nominated for the position by a club, not themselves.

The two people confirmed are Lloyd Smith and Gershon Gibbons.

The Bermuda Cricket Board will hold their Annual General Meeting later this month.

As we reported yesterday, a reporter wrote a story suggesting a former cricketer wanted to run for the position of President, but the Bermuda Cricket Board have confirmed that only two names were submitted by Clubs to seek the leadership position.

Gibbons, was elected as the Bermuda Cricket Board Treasure back in December of 2014, Gibbons, also serves as the Chairman of the BCB High Performance Committee. Gibbons was one of the persons instrumental in getting the Champion of Champions competition back up and running.

Smith has been involved in Bermuda cricket for over 30 years. Smith was a regular player for Devonshire Recreation Club and has contributed many years of administrative service at Club and National Level. In recent years Smith has personally prepared the weekly calculations for the MVP Standings, Batting, Bowling and Fielding Statistics which are closely followed by the cricketing community.
