Delray Rawlins and his Sussex teammates hosted Somerset in the first of two white-ball matches today at The 1st Central County Ground, and were defeated by six wickets by the visitors.
Rawlins in Action Today
At a sun-drenched Hove in a scene that belied the early season time of year, Sussex won the toss and elected to bat, and were bowled out for 180 in the 48th over.
Harry Finch, who also made a half-century on Saturday on the third day of the red-ball friendly with Surrey, top-scored with 58 whilst Will Beer scored 29 not out and Rawlins scored 25 were the other main contributors.
Josh Davey, Roelof van der Merwe and Max Waller all took two wickets apiece for the visitors.
In reply, Somerset reached their target in the 31st over for the loss of four wickets. Danny Briggs was once again fine form, taking 3 for 32 from six overs to follow up the three scalps that he took on Saturday against Surrey.
The other wicket fell to Ajmal Shahzad whilst Jofra Archer, George Garton, Beer and Rawlins all got some overs under their belts ahead of the new campaign.
