Kamau Leverock helped guide Cardiff MCCU to the 2016 MCC Red Bull T20 Qualifiers Finals, after winning the South Regional title.
It proved to be a long day for Leverock and his teammates as they took on Southampton Solient in their Semi-Final match, Southampton Solient batted first and scored 155/6 in their 20 overs, in reply Cardiff scored 157/2 in 17.1 overs, Leverock batting in the number three spot scored 87 off 56 deliveries.
Leverock and his Cardiff teammates would face the other Semi-Final winners Oxford MCCU. Batting first Cardiff would score 161/6 in their allotted 20 overs with Leverock again batting in the number three spot scoring 40 off 25 deliveries, Cardiff then restricted Oxford to 119/9 off the 20 overs.
The other teams to reach the Finals include Loughborough MCCU, LeedsBradford MCCU and Durham MCCU.
