With the Cricket Season on the horizon, www.islandstats.com has learned that former National Team Cricket Captain Clay Smith is searching for a club to coach.
Smith has so far been linked to St. George’s Cricket Club, Bailey’s Bay, Cleveland County and Devonshire Recreation Club.
Smith who ran for the Bermuda Cricket Board Presidency back in 2011, where he did not get a vote from any club, Smith then moved to England to be with his family.
Smith a former St. George’s Cricket Club Captain and scored and was the first player to score three Centuries in Cup Match, he amassed 1,076 total runs, Smith was a member of the Bermuda team that played in the 2007 Cricket World Cup in the West Indies.
He also had a battle in his career with the media, constantly facing a barrage of insults from the former Sports Editor of the Daily, but all that changed dramatically once Smith became a columnist.
