FC Bascome clinched the Bermuda Football Association Under 18 Knock-Out Trophy on Sunday after a commanding 4-1 victory over North Village Rams at the National Sports Center.
FC Bascome 4 North Village Rams 1
The contest at the Flora Duffy South Field Stadium began with FC Bascome asserting their dominance almost immediately. The opening goal arrived in just the 10th minute when Christian Piney found a way through the North Village defence to put his side ahead. Before the Rams had a chance to settle, the lead was doubled in the 17th minute as Rajee Knight-Rowling capitalised on a lapse in concentration to make it 2-0.
Despite the early setback, North Village Rams remained competitive and managed to frustrate their opponents for the remainder of the first half. They eventually found a lifeline shortly after the interval when Norico Furbert found the back of the net in the 59th minute. The goal shifted the momentum and set up a tense final half-hour as the Rams pushed for a potential equaliser.
However, FC Bascome’s resilience proved decisive as they weathered the storm. The two-goal cushion was finally restored in the 86th minute through a composed finish from Rylan Desilva, effectively ending the North Village comeback hopes. The result was put beyond all doubt in stoppage time when an unfortunate own goal added a fourth for FC Bascome.
The final whistle sparked celebrations for the Bascome side, who justified their status as favourites with a display of clinical finishing and defensive discipline. While North Village showed flashes of quality, they were unable to match the consistency of a Bascome outfit that now looks to build on this youth success in the seasons to come.

Jimenez at the Double as Hibs Sink Rangers
IslandStats.com
Bermuda international Logan Jimenez produced a clinical late cameo as Hibernian Under 19’s fought back to secure a dramatic 4-2 victory over Rangers, booking their place in the CAS Elite League Cup semi-finals.
In a pulsating encounter at the Rangers Training Centre, Darren McGregor’s side showed immense resilience to overcome a Rangers outfit that twice held the lead. Despite the hosts finding the net through Calum Adamson and Max Cameron, the "wee Hibees" refused to buckle, with Jimenez eventually turning a tense group-stage finale into a celebration for the visitors.
The match remained on a knife-edge after earlier strikes from Callum MacDonald and Josh McDonald had kept Hibs in contention. However, the momentum shifted decisively in the final ten minutes. With the scores locked at 2-2, a Hibs corner was only partially cleared to the edge of the box. Jimenez reacted quickest, turning a goal-bound swipe into a first-time effort that squirmed under the Rangers goalkeeper to hand Hibs their first lead of the afternoon.
The drama intensified in the 86th minute when a stray backpass gifted the visitors a golden opportunity. A swift interception saw the ball squared to Jimenez; though his initial attempt was bravely blocked, the 17-year-old made no mistake with the rebound, calmly slotting into the unguarded net to double his personal tally and seal the result.
The victory sees Hibs advance to the final four of the competition with significant momentum, while Rangers exit at the group stage. For Jimenez, the late double caps a standout performance that underscores his growing importance to McGregor’s attacking options as the hunt for silverware enters its defining phase.
