Dominant Displays & Close Contests as League Continues

Action in the Bermuda Netball Association’s Summer League season resumed with a total of five captivating games played across the Women’s and Co-ed Divisions at Bernard’s Park.

The evening saw some comprehensive victories alongside fiercely contested battles, providing plenty of entertainment for the netball enthusiasts.

Women's Division: Flames, DRC, and Lady Stars Victorious

In the opening match of the Women’s Division, the Phoenix Flames delivered a commanding performance, defeating K-net Assets 44-12.

MVP Eshe' Grant was the star of the show for the Flames, netting an impressive 37 goals. Sydney Santos added 4 goals and Krishay Tucker scored 3. Nevaeh Swan was named the Best Attacker, while Dominique Richardson earned Best Defender honours for the Phoenix Flames. For K-net Assets, Best Attacker Jahkenya Trott led their scoring with 9 goals, supported by Denise Truter's 3. Khianda Pearman-Watson was their Best Defender, and Luisina Medran was named MVP.

The second match in the division saw Devonshire Recreation Club put in a dominant display, outscoring Law & Disorder 48-6.

Best Attacker Miesha Greaves led the scoring for Devonshire Recreation Club with 22 goals, while MVP Kristin Holman added 16. Kessiah Jackson contributed 6 goals and Jamir Hatherley scored 4. Tina Wall was named the Best Defender for DRC. For Law & Disorder, MVP Rachel Nightingale scored 5 goals, with Tseda Simmons adding one. Terita Flood was their Best Attacker, and Kiera Trott the Best Defender.

The final Women’s Division match of the evening was a closer affair, with the Lady Stars defeating PHC 25-17.

Lady Stars' MVP Julesa Robinson spearheaded their victory with 16 goals, ably supported by Marissa Brangman who added 9 goals. Kaylee Lema was named the Best Attacker, and Zindzi Swan the Best Defender for Lady Stars. For PHC, Sonja Townsend scored 14 goals, with Terita Bean adding the other 3. Melissa Burrows was named Best Attacker, while Debre Evans earned both Best Defender and MVP accolades for PHC.

Co-Ed Division: Bean Counting Netballerz and BHB Secure Wins

In the Co-ed Division opener, the Bean Counting Netballerz defeated RenRe 18-9.

Best Attacker Jahkenya Trott led the Bean Counting Netballerz to victory with 12 goals, while Jahtuere Trott added the remaining 6. Marmus Slabbert was named both the Best Defender and MVP for the winning side. RenRe saw Best Attacker Chelzea Somner score 4 goals, Kiarra Francis add 3, and MVP David Oten net twice. Euan Rutherford was their Best Defender.

In the final match of the night, BHB delivered a strong performance to defeat the Front Street Mafia 24-12.

BHB's Best Attacker Sheldon Bahadosingh was prolific, scoring 15 goals, while Kristin Holman added 9. Tina Wall was named the Best Defender, and Demiqua Daniels the MVP for BHB. The Front Street Mafia's scoring was led by MVP Jasmine Mapp with 8 goals, and Best Attacker Nathan Clarke with 4. Jesse Marshall was named their Best Defender.

Another action-packed night at Bernard's Park highlighted the competitive and dynamic nature of the Bermuda Netball Association's Summer League season.

Phoenix Flames & Storm Chasers Shine in Summer League

Bernard's Park once again played host to another evening of exciting netball action as the Bermuda Netball Association's Summer League continued with three matches across the Women's and Co-Ed Divisions.

The enthusiastic crowd witnessed closely fought contests and impressive individual performances under the lights.

Phoenix Flames Edge Lady Stars in Women's Division Clash

The lone match in the Women's Division saw Phoenix Flames secure a hard-fought 27-18 victory over Lady Stars.

MVP Eshe Grant led the scoring for the Phoenix Flames with an impressive 14 goals, while Best Defender Uni Simmons contributed 9 goals, and Jaya Dillas added 4. Caillia Joel was recognized as the Phoenix Flames' Best Attacker. For the Lady Stars, Julesa Robinson led their scoring with 9 goals, while Best Attacker Marissa Brangman added 7, and Kim Thompson scored twice. Chiaje Rudo was named Lady Stars' Best Defender, and Kacee Simons earned the MVP award despite the loss.

Co-Ed Division Delivers Close Encounters and a Dominant Display

The Co-Ed Division opened with a closely contested match that saw Bean Counting Netballerz edge out Front Street Mafia 21-16.

Best Attacker Jahkenya Trott led the Bean Counting Netballerz to victory with 13 goals, supported by Jahtuere Trott who added 7, and Denise Truter with a single goal. Osei Agyapong was named the Best Defender, and Allison King was the MVP for the winning team. For the Front Street Mafia, Charlotte Evans netted 10 goals, with Jasmine Mapp adding the other 6. Kyle Godfrey was their Best Attacker, Jason Savoury the Best Defender, and Ciara Izzy the MVP.

The final match of the evening saw a reversal of fortunes as Storm Chasers proved too strong for Goal Diggers, securing a decisive 31-19 victory.

The Storm Chasers saw MVP Antione Williams score 24 goals, with Nabiilah Nasir adding 5, and Zakiyah Durham scoring 3. Zariah Amory was their Best Attacker, and Debre Evans the Best Defender. The Best Defender Zhanae Simmons led the scoring for the Goal Diggers with 10 goals, while Paul Simons added 6, and Coriah Simmons scored three times. Cecoy Robinson was named the Best Attacker, and Rakeem Deshields earned the MVP award for the Goal Diggers.

Bernard's Park played host to a thrilling resumption of the Bermuda Netball Association's Summer League season, with both the Women's and Co-Ed Divisions serving up plenty of excitement.

The enthusiastic crowd witnessed closely fought encounters and impressive individual performances as the teams battled it out on the court.

Women's Division Sees Tight Contests

The opening match of the Women's Division saw Phoenix Flames narrowly edge out St. George's Cricket Club in a tense affair, 24-22.

Phoenix Flames' MVP Sydney Santos was in fine form, leading the scoring with an impressive 19 goals, ably supported by Jaya Dillas who added 5. Nevaeh Swan was recognised as Phoenix Flames' Best Attacker, while Imani Smith earned the Best Defender accolade for her team. For St. George's, MVP and Best Attacker Nisaiah Berkeley led their scoring with 14 goals, with Stacy O'Brien contributing 4, Nicole Smith 3, and Stacy Ann Brown adding one. Dezirae Darrell was named St. George's Best Defender.

The tight scorelines continued as PHC battled their way to a slender 23-22 victory over K-Net Assets.

PHC's MVP Terita Bean led the charge with 14 goals, with Sarafina Woolridge adding 7, and both Naomi Crofton and Tyra Simmons chipping in with a goal apiece. Melissa Burrows was named PHC's Best Attacker, and Tahirah Hill earned the Best Defender award. For K-Net Assets, MVP Jahtuere Trott led their scoring with 15 goals, while Denise Truks added 7. Knakita Bent was recognised as K-Net Assets' Best Attacker.

The final match in the Women's Division saw another nail-biting finish as Devonshire Recreation Club edged out Lady Stars 17-16.

Miesha Greaves led the Devonshire Recreation Club's scoring with 7 goals, with Best Attacker Kessiah Jackson and Kezhari Knight both adding 5. Tina Wall was named both the Best Defender and MVP for Devonshire. Despite the close loss, Lady Stars saw Marissa Brangman score 9 goals, Julesa Robinson add 6, and Kim Thompson contribute one. Chiaje Rudo was named Lady Stars' Best Attacker, Asante Chapman their Best Defender, and Kaylee Lema earned the MVP award.

Storm Chasers Dominate in Co-Ed Division

The Co-Ed Division saw a more one-sided affair as Storm Chasers dominated their match against RenRe, securing a commanding 40-3 victory.

MVP Antoine Williams was the star of the show for Storm Chasers, netting an impressive 34 goals. Best Attacker Kaamilah Nasir added 5 goals, and Jamir Hatherley scored once, while Quinaceo Hunt was named the Best Defender. For RenRe, Jevon Swan scored 2 goals, with Best Defender Chelzea Somner adding the other. Suriya Burger was recognised as RenRe's Best Attacker, and Megan Diel was named their MVP.

The final match of the Co-Ed Division saw BHB secure a 20-11 victory over the Gold Diggers. BHB's Best Attacker Sheldon Bahadosingh led the scoring with a significant 16 goals, with MVP Demiqua Daniels adding 3, and Stacy O'Brien scoring once. Jahmair Lewis-Trott was named BHB's Best Defender. For the Gold Diggers, Best Attacker Paul Simons scored 4 goals, with Jarye Bean and Quinae Outerbridge both adding three. Rakeem Deshields was the Best Defender, and Quin Outerbridge was named the MVP.

The return of the Bermuda Netball Association's Summer League has clearly delivered plenty of excitement, with closely contested matches in the Women's Division and dominant performances in the Co-Ed Division setting the stage for an engaging season ahead.

Another night of action in the Bermuda Netball Association’s Summer League saw Bernard Park buzzing with competitive matches across both the Co-Ed and Women’s Divisions, delivering a night of exciting netball.

The Co-Ed Division kicked off the evening with BHB securing a comfortable 30-13 victory over Bean Counting Netballerz. Best Attacker Sheldon Bahadosingh led BHB’s scoring with an impressive 18 goals, supported by Charlene Bogle’s 12. Jahmair Lewis-Trott was named BHB’s Best Defender and MVP. For Bean Counting NetBallerz, Best Attacker Jahtuere Trott netted 9 goals, Jahkenya Trott added 3, and Denise Truter scored once. Osei Agyapong was their Best Defender, and Adriaan Bezuidenhoudt the MVP.

The second Co-Ed match saw Front Street Mafia defeat Ren Re 21-13. Charlie Evans and Meghan Sherwin led the Front Street Mafia’s attack, each scoring 9 goals, with Nathan Clarke and Ruth Ellen Pintilie also contributing. Jess Ferreira was named the Best Attacker, and Ellen Pintilie the MVP for Front Street Mafia. Ren Re’s goals came from Best Attacker Sarafina Woolridge-Burns (6) and Kiara Francis (3), while Antoinay Tankard was their Best Defender and Brighton Swan the MVP.

In the Women's Division, PHC secured a 28-11 victory over Law & Disorder. Verincka Symonds led PHC’s scoring with 12 goals, while Best Attacker and MVP Terita Bean and Tyra Simmons each added 8. Tahirah Hill was named PHC’s Best Defender. Law & Disorder’s Best Attacker and MVP Rachel Nightingale scored 10 of their 11 goals, with Elizabeth Bradley adding the other. Hannah Tindesley was their Best Defender.

The Lady Stars overcame St. George’s 21-10 in another Women’s Division clash. Lady Stars’ Best Attackers Julesa Robinson and Nahjae Raynor each scored 10 goals, with Kim Thompson adding the final one. Asante Chapman was named their Best Defender and MVP. Nisaiah Berkeley led St. George’s scoring with 8 goals, while Best Attacker Stacy-Ann Brown added 2. Tamae Flood was St. George’s Best Defender, and Kse Jennings the MVP.

The final match of the night saw Devonshire Recreation Club get the better of the Phoenix Flames 15-12. Charlene Bogle led Devonshire’s scoring with 8 goals, supported by Miesha Greaves’s 7. Kessiah Jackson was named Devonshire’s Best Attacker, Precious Smith their Best Defender, and Zariah Amory the MVP. For the Phoenix Flames, MVP Jaya Dillas scored 10 goals, Krishay Tucker added 2, and Navaeh Thompson-Swan was their Best Attacker, with Imani Smith the Best Defender.

Netball Summer Leagues Bring More Excitement to the Park

The Bermuda Netball Association's Summer League continued its exciting run at Bernard’s Park, with another week of action showcasing the competitive spirit in both the Women’s and Co-Ed Leagues. A total of five matches delivered plenty of goals and tight contests.

Women’s League Heats Up

The Phoenix Flames delivered a dominant performance in the Women’s League opener, defeating Law and Disorder 24-4. Jaya Dillas was the star for the Flames, netting 15 goals and earning MVP and Best Attacker honours. Keishay Tucker added 7 goals, and Amari Graham scored twice. Imani Smith was also named MVP for the Flames. For Law and Disorder, Hannah Tindesley scored all four of her team's goals and was named MVP and Best Attacker, while Caroline Robinson was their Best Defender.

The second Women’s League match saw the Devonshire Cougars secure a 20-14 victory over K-Net Assets. The Cougars’ scoring was spread across several players, with Miesha Greaves and Kristin Holman each netting 5 goals. MVP and Best Attacker Demiqua Daniels, along with Jamir Hatherley and Charlene Bogle, each added 3 goals, and Donnell Simons scored once. Tina Wall was named the Cougars’ Best Defender. Denise Truter led the scoring for K-Net Assets with 9 goals and was named Best Attacker, while Khianda Pearman-Watson added 5 goals. Jamila Godwin was K-Net's Best Defender, and Andrea Jan was named MVP.

The final Women’s League game of the night saw St. George’s defeat PHC 23-17. Nisaiah Berkeley led St. George’s to victory with an impressive 15 goals. Stacey O’Brien added 5 goals, Cherie Manders scored twice, and Best Attacker Stacey Ann Brown netted one. Dezirae Darrell was named St. George’s Best Defender, and Shawnae Brangman was the MVP. Sarafina Woolridge-Burns led the scoring for PHC with 11 goals, while Tyra-Lyn Simmons scored 4, and Vernicka Symonds added 2. Melissa Burrows was named both Best Attacker and MVP for PHC, with Tahira Hill recognised as their Best Defender.

Co-Ed League Delivers High-Scoring Encounters

The Co-Ed League also provided plenty of excitement. The Storm Chasers delivered a dominant performance, defeating the Front Street Mafia 42-13. Antoine Williams led the Storm with a remarkable 35 goals, with Jamir Hatherley adding 7. Zariah Amory was named the Storm’s Best Attacker, Tariq Bean their Best Defender, and Terita Bean the MVP. For the FS Mafia, Charlotte Evans scored 11 goals and was named MVP, while Ciara Izuchukwu and Olivia Bogg each added a goal. Kyle Godfrey was the Best Attacker, and Jasmine Mapp the Best Defender.

The final match of the night saw the Goal Diggers edge out Ren Re 21-9. MVP Paul Simons led the Goal Diggers with 9 goals, while Best Attacker Jaya Dillas added 8. Jarye Bean scored three times, and Jaman Lottimore once. Kiante Lightbourne was the Goal Diggers’ Best Defender. Ren Re’s scoring was led by Best Attacker Sarafina Woolridge-Burns with 6 goals, while Kiara Francis added 3, and Best Defender Antoinay Tankard scored once. Brighton Swan was named the MVP for Ren Re.
