Elite Showcase Heads to Bermuda for 2026 Showpiece

IslandStats.com
Bermuda will take center stage on the international netball calendar later this summer after being named as the host nation for the 2026 Americas Netball Men’s Championship.

Netball Bermuda will be holding Tag Days in Hamilton Friday and Saturday to support their fund raising efforts for the CAC Games and the Men's Championships

The flagship tournament, running from August 31st to September 8th, will bring the region’s elite talent together for a high-stakes, week-long tournament to decide who will dominate the continental court.

Men’s netball continues to experience a rapid surge in global depth and popularity, with this year's showcase building heavily on the momentum of the dramatic 2024 edition held at the Warner Park Sporting Complex in St. Kitts and Nevis.

That tournament saw eight powerhouse nations—including Jamaica, England, Trinidad and Tobago, and the United States—deliver a masterclass in athleticism, physicality, and fierce sporting rivalries.

With defending heavyweights and rising continental contenders set to descend on the island, local fans can expect a blockbuster festival of sport.

For Bermuda, hosting an event of this magnitude represents a massive logistical milestone and a golden opportunity to showcase the sport's expanding high-performance pipeline on home soil.

Storm Chasers Dominant as Summer League Resumes

IslandStats.com
Netball Bermuda’s Summer League season returned with an action-packed four-match schedule at Bernard Park, highlighted by a masterclass from the Storm Chasers in the Co-ed Division.

The Storm Chasers produced the most clinical performance of the night by cruising to a 38-10 victory over the Bailey's Bay Breezers. Antione Williams put on a shooting clinic, accounting for 28 of his side's goals to claim the attacker of the match honours, while teammate Amaury Majors was named most valuable player. The Breezers fought valiantly with four goals apiece from Kamau Leverock and Jordyn Morris, but they were simply unable to contain a rampant Chasers attack.

In the opening match of the evening, RenaissanceRe and Friends edged past Somerset in a thrilling 17-14 encounter. Coriah Simmons led the scoring for the victors with nine goals, closely supported by Tai Cedenio who added eight. Somerset's Jazz Ratteray produced a stellar individual display, netting 10 goals and picking up the most valuable player award, but it was not quite enough to deny RenaissanceRe the points.

Drama followed in the final Co-ed fixture as Atlantic Aces and Allshores Ballers played out a tense 18-18 draw. Jasmine Mapp scored 10 for the Aces, but her efforts were cancelled out by Allshores' Miesha Greaves, who top-scored with 11 goals. Symira Lowe-Darrell was named most valuable player for the Ballers after an influential display that ensured the points were shared.

Greaves was back in action in the Women's Division, scoring eight goals to help Devonshire Recreational Club secure a convincing 25-13 win over the Netball Bermuda Under 21 Academy. Zakiyah Durham led the charge for Devonshire with 11 goals, while Diara Benjamin chipped in with six. Jamir Hatherley fought hard for the Academy pipeline with five goals, but Devonshire’s experience shone through, marshaled by a most valuable player performance from Demiqua Daniels.

Raynor and Williams Take Center Stage in Summer Netball

IslandStats.com
A sensational twenty-seven goal haul from Danielle Raynor and a dominant thirty-four point display by Antoine Williams took top billing as the Summer Netball League delivered an evening of high-octane drama. Under the floodlights, the island's sharpest shooters and clinical defenders produced a stellar night of action spanning both the Women’s and Coed Divisions.

The opening encounter produced an absolute classic as PHC Lady Zebras narrowly outlasted Netball Bermuda Under-21 Academy by twenty-two goals to twenty-one. PHC were indebted to a masterful shooting performance from Nisaiah Berkeley, who bagged fourteen goals, while Sonja Townsend chipped in with eight. The youth academy pushed them all the way, fueled by Mayah Williams-Johnson's twelve-goal effort. Jordyn Ming scooped the most valuable player and best attacker honors for the victorious Lady Zebras, while Debre Evans took the defender award. For the youth academy, Naomi Crofton was named most valuable player, Williams-Johnson best attacker, and Nyli Grant top defender.

In the later broadcast slot, Phoenix Blaze turned on the style to comfortably overpower Tropical Storm thirty-three goals to fourteen. The headline was written by Phoenix talisman Danielle Raynor, who put on a shooting clinic to claim the most valuable player award with a staggering twenty-seven goals. Jaya Dillas scored five and was named top attacker, while Kiante Lightbourne anchored the defense. The Storm fought gamely with Williams-Johnson netting six, but they had no answer for Raynor’s unstoppable prowess. Honor White claimed the most valuable player nod for the Storm, with Gabriella Babon named top attacker and T'jaia Butler selected as best defender.

In the Coed Division, Allshores romped to a convincing thirty-four to seventeen victory over RenRe. The damage was largely done by the clinical Sheldon Bahadosingh, who racked up twenty-three goals to break the RenRe resistance. Despite Coriah Simmons netting ten points in response for RenRe to earn top attacker honors, Allshores controlled the court. Synsir’s Lowe-Lowe was inspired at the heart of everything to claim the most valuable player trophy, supported by top attacker Keedai Astwood and best defender Kenszo Iris. Cruz Cedenio was named most valuable player for RenRe, while Alice Cedenio took the defensive award.

Meanwhile, Storm Chasers unleashed the most ruthless team performance of the night, blowing past Baileys Bay thirty-nine goals to thirteen. Antoine Williams was simply unplayable for the Chasers, single-handedly outscoring the opposition with an astonishing thirty-four goal masterclass to take home the most valuable player honors. Josh Hardtman and Kauai Evans scooped the attacker and defender awards respectively. Alexia Pascall fought hard for Bay with seven goals, while Jordyn Morris claimed the team most valuable player award. Samario Paul was named best attacker for Bay, with Cashun Brangman recognized as top defender on a night where the Chasers' defensive grid truly locked down the court.

Storm Chasers Run Riot as Co-ed Division Action Resumes

IslandStats.com
The Netball Bermuda Summer League Season burst back into life following a brief competitive intermission, serving up an action-packed triple-header in the vibrant Co-ed Division.

It was a night defined by high-volume shooting and standout individual displays, with teams eager to lay down an early marker for the second half of the campaign.

The opening match of the evening saw Renaissance Re & Friends edge out the Atlantic Aces 22-16 in a tactical, end-to-end battle.

Coriah Simmons delivered a shooting masterclass for Renaissance Re, rifling home a game-high 16 goals to anchor her side’s attacking phases and rightfully claim the Match MVP honors. She was capably supported under the post by the duo of Jamie Cedenio (he) and Jamie Cedenio (she), who chipped in with three goals apiece. Jamie Cedenio was also lauded as the game's standout attacker, while Kiante Lightbourne provided the defensive steel to keep the Aces at arm's length.

Despite the defeat, the Atlantic Aces pushed their opponents all the way. Sinae Symonds put on a spirited display to top-score for her team with 10 goals, earning the best attacker nod, while Charlotte Evans added six. Jana Philips was named MVP for the Aces following an industrious performance through the midcourt, backed up by resilient circle defending from Alex Godet.

The most lopsided fixture of the night saw the Storm Chasers produce a devastating offensive performance, blowing past Somerset 38-7.

Antione Williams was absolutely unplayable in the circle, spearheading the Chasers' relentless attack with a staggering 20-goal haul to secure the MVP award. Selah Tuzo was equally influential, earning the top attacker designation while sinking 11 goals of her own. Amaury Majors (5) and Kaamilah Nasir (2) rounded out the scoring for the rampant Chasers, while Debre Evans locked things down in the defensive third.

Somerset found it difficult to breach a suffocating Chasers rearguard but fought valiantly until the final whistle. Selena Bascome led the goal-scoring charts for her side with five goals, while Ramiah Brangman added two. Jya Ratteray-Smith and Jaden Ratteray-Smith caught the eye as the team's best attacker and defender respectively, while Jeremiah Andrade’s relentless work rate was rewarded with the team MVP.

The evening concluded with the closest match of the round, as Bailey's Bay Breezers dug deep to secure a thrilling 19-17 victory over the Allshores Ballers.

The Breezers utilized a balanced shooting circle to unlock the Ballers' defense, with Alexcia Pascall leading the charge with nine goals. Druw Bascome slotted six and Kessiah Jackson added a crucial four to help get their side over the line. Marcel Dill’s intelligent movement earned him the best attacker award, Mali Smith stood tall as the top defender, and Cashun Brangman walked away with the MVP honours.

The Allshores Ballers pushed the Breezers to the absolute limit, spearheaded by a phenomenal shooting performance from Sheldon Bahadosingh, who accounted for 13 of his team's 17 goals. Nikita Trott chipped in with four goals, while Miesha Greaves and Kenzo Iris were recognized for their stellar attacking and defensive contributions. Keedai Astwood was named the Ballers' MVP after an exceptional all-court display.
