Bermudian youngster Kai Sampson was part of the matchday squad as Málaga Juniors B secured a crucial victory over Ciudad de Málaga in Round 6 of the 3ª Andaluza Málaga.
The result continues an impressive early-season run of form for the academy side, propelling them into second place in the league table.
Sampson earned his spot in the squad for the local derby, though fellow Bermudian prospect Nijae Aberdeen was not included in the lineup for the contest.
Málaga Juniors B showed maturity and tactical discipline against stubborn opposition, dictating the tempo across key phases of the match to unpick the Ciudad de Málaga defence and secure maximum points.
The hard-fought win keeps them firmly in the hunt at the top end of the standings, trailing only the league leaders as their promotion push gathers momentum.
