Bermudians Abroad Wells Injured & Non-League Contingent

IslandStats.com
Bermuda captain Nahki Wells suffered an early injury blow despite Luton Town completing a three-match winning run, headlining a busy weekend of action for the island's overseas footballers.

At Kenilworth Road, Luton Town negotiated the final hurdle of their three-match home stand with an emphatic 3-0 victory over Doncaster Rovers, marking their first three-game winning streak since the conclusion of the 2024/25 Championship campaign.

However, the afternoon was dampened by the sight of national team talisman Wells being forced off after just 40 minutes with an apparent injury knock, leaving the Hatters to assess the veteran forward ahead of their upcoming fixtures.

Across the English non-league pyramid, it proved a taxing afternoon for several Bermudian stars:

National League North: Keziah Martin and Hereford FC fell to a narrow 1-0 defeat against AFC Telford United at Edgar Street. Elsewhere in the division, Jutorre Burgess and Harborough Town were left empty-handed on the road, succumbing to a 3-0 loss against Buxton at the Tarmac Silverlands Stadium.

Southern League Premier Central: Midfielder Milan Butterfield helped inspire a spirited second-half comeback for Halesowen Town, battling back from two goals down at The Grove to salvage a 2-2 draw with Leamington. At the Abbey Lawn, Willie Clemons and Leiston FC were on the wrong end of a high-scoring affair, going down 5-2 against Peterborough Sports. Meanwhile, Milai Perott and Corby Town were narrowly edged out 1-0 by Mickleover at Steel Park.

Isthmian & Regional Leagues: Reggie Lambe’s Ipswich Wanderers suffered an away slip-up, falling 2-1 to Brantham Athletic. At Hill Farm Lane, CJ Fubler and Brighton Morrison endured a punishing afternoon as Binfield FC were beaten 5-0 by Southall FC.

In the Gibraltar National League, brothers Riley and Luke Robinson—who share a surname but are not related—were unable to prevent Glacis United from falling to a 3-0 reverse against FC Magpies.

Off the pitch, forward Masiah Bean-Brown has completed a move to AFC Borrowash Victoria.

Bean-Brown arrives at "The Vics" boasting over five years of experience in the English non-league pyramid, having previously featured at Step 4 with Wivenhoe Town before lifting a league title in Sweden’s sixth tier last season.

His arrival strengthens the club's growing Bermudian ties, making Bean-Brown the third player from the island to link up with Borrowash through the CEF talent partnership pathway.
