Bermudian archers Jaydon Roberts and Braeden Fraser held their nerve in sweltering conditions to capture a sensational double gold at the Caribbean Championships in Guyana.
Following their record-breaking displays in Friday’s qualification rounds, both competitors returned to the target line to cap off a flawless campaign by sweeping the titles in their respective divisions.
Roberts secured top honours in the senior Caribbean Archery Championship, navigating a demanding elimination bracket to take gold. Competing in punishing heat and gusty stadium winds, the Bermudian maintained his composure through the head-to-head match-ups to emerge victorious at 70 metres.
Fraser completed the golden double by dominating the Caribbean Development Championship. The rising talent matched his compatriot's clinical precision under pressure, overcoming testing crosswinds at 40 metres to seal the division title.
The pair's twin triumphs mark a historic clean sweep for Bermuda at the regional showpiece, backing up their record-setting qualifying scores with championship silverware on the international stage.
