A five-strong contingent of promising young gymnasts has been selected to represent Bermuda at the 2026 CARIFTA Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Nassau, The Bahamas.
All five athletes selected for the national squad—Gemma Vickers, Ty-Leah Trott, Tyla Foote, Raelyn Robinson, and Elliyah Burgess—train out of the Quality Gymnastics facility in Pembroke.
The trio of disciplines will see the Bermudian contingent test their routines against the finest emerging talent from across the Caribbean during three days of high-level competition at the Kendal G. L. Isaacs National Gymnasium, running from 13 to 15 November.
The selections mark the culmination of months of intensive preparation, high-performance training, and dedication from the athletes, their families, and coaching staff.
"Being selected is a wonderful achievement and a testament to the athletes’ dedication, discipline, and passion," said Peter James, Vice President of the Gymnastics Federation of Bermuda.
"We’re proud of their achievements and look forward to seeing them compete with confidence and sportsmanship in Nassau."
The championships will provide vital international exposure on the regional stage as Bermuda continues to develop its competitive pipeline under the auspices of the national governing body.
