A strong Bermuda martial arts delegation has arrived in Argentina ahead of the 5th Pan American Kung Fu Championships and 15th Pan American Wushu Championships.
The travelling party features a formidable mix of seasoned international medallists and emerging talents, with Bermudian athletes set to battle across Traditional Kung Fu, Modern Wushu Taolu, and full-contact San Da (Chinese kickboxing) divisions.
Veteran international competitor and coach Garon Wilkinson headlines the Traditional Kung Fu squad alongside Kaelin Cox, Jecoa Burrows, Talia Iris, and Jashae Allen-Lamontagne.
In the Modern Wushu Taolu disciplines, Cox doubles up on duties alongside Geraldine Sidders, Tristan Robinson, and Yara Robinson, showcasing high-level technical forms and weapon routines.
Bermuda's combat hopes are anchored by decorated international fighter Krista Dyer, who leads a five-strong San Da fighting squad.
Dyer is joined on the full-contact platform by Michael Tristan Burgess, Jacob Goodwin, and dual-discipline athletes Tristan Robinson and Yara Robinson, testing themselves against the top striking and grappling talent across the Americas.
Beyond the competitive arena, Bermuda is also bolstering its administrative and technical representation.
A six-member delegation—Oscar Lightbourne, Nolette Webb, Chaquita Simmons, Jecoa Burrows, Adriano Lourenco da Silva, and Jason Dill—has travelled to participate in the Pan American official judges' certification course, expanding the island's qualified judging capacity on the global stage.
