Bermuda’s archers have stamped their authority across the region after claiming a sensational 1-2 finish in the senior division and a junior podium place in the 2026 Caribbean Premier Archery League.
The three-month virtual and regional competition, which got under way in July and officially concluded on 30 September, pitted Bermuda against eight other rival nations: the Bahamas, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Curaçao, Guyana, the US Virgin Islands, and Jamaica.
In the flagship Men’s Senior Recurve 70-metre Division, Jaydon Roberts delivered a masterclass of consistency to top the 13-strong regional field, capturing first place overall with a commanding total score of 1,325 out of a possible 1,440.
Compatriot Camerin Pickering completed a memorable Bermudian double at the summit, taking second place with an impressive 1,295 out of 1,440 to hold off the chasing pack.
Bermuda’s success extended into the youth ranks through rising talent Electra Smith, who produced a composed series in the Under 21 Women’s Recurve Division to claim second place overall with a score of 853 out of 1,440.
The podium haul marks another significant milestone for the National Archery Association of Bermuda as local athletes continue to make their mark on the regional and international circuit.
