Bermudian forward Shantia Berkeley and her Durham College team-mates overturned a shock second-half deficit with three unanswered goals to seal a commanding 3-1 victory over the Cambrian Shield at Vaso’s Field.
The Lords dominated large swathes of the opening 45 minutes, dictating tempo and penning the visitors back into their defensive third. Durham fired 12 attempts on the Cambrian goal and earned five corners before the break, with Alexis Bayley, Jaime Pye, Jia Leblanc, and Heather Wright all testing the Shield backline, but the opening half ended scoreless.
Cambrian delivered a sharp wake-up call three minutes after the restart, breaking the deadlock against the run of play in the 48th minute to leave Durham trailing for the first and only time in the match.
However, the home side responded with ruthless intent.
The equalizer arrived on 65 minutes when Samantha Chatwood unlocked the defense to pick out Isabel Sullivan, who finished neatly to pull the Lords level at 1-1.
Just six minutes later, Durham completed the turnaround. Following sustained pressure from a corner, Bayley connected with Chloe Hercia, who swept home in the 71st minute to hand the hosts a 2-1 lead.
With Cambrian chasing shadows, Sullivan, Keyanna Loblack, and Emme Gjezo kept the pressure on with persistent efforts on goal.
Bayley put the result beyond doubt four minutes from time, finishing off a fluent move crafted by Leblanc in the 86th minute to wrap up a dominant three-goal second half.
The statistics underlined Durham's superiority, finishing with an overwhelming 27-4 advantage in shots—14 on target—alongside nine corner kicks as they stretched their winning run in style.
