Bermuda Football Association (BFA) chairman of referees Crenstant Williams will take centre stage today for a special edition of Referee Corner: Excellence in Action, broadcast live on Islandstats.com.
The programme, scheduled to stream at 17:30 ADT, will delve into the standard of officiating across the domestic leagues, ongoing grassroots recruitment, and the modern challenges facing match officials both on the island and across the Concacaf region.
Williams, who has long served at the helm of the BFA’s Referees Committee, has been a central architect in developing the next generation of Bermudian officials. Under his stewardship, the association has introduced targeted youth programmes designed to blood referees from as young as primary school level into junior fixtures, aiming to create a sustainable pathway toward FIFA-badge status.
Today’s broadcast arrives amid heightened focus on officiating standards, disciplinary protocols, and the continuous push to recruit fresh talent with the whistle.
Speaking ahead of the live stream, organisers noted that the session will offer supporters, players, and coaches an unvarnished look at the technical assessments, match reviews, and mental demands required to officiate modern football at high tempo.
Viewers can watch the live stream from 5:30 pm on Islandstats.com, with interactive submissions open for supporters keen to query controversial decisions, interpretations of the Laws of the Game, and the strategic direction of Bermudian refereeing.
