Warwick Academy delivered an emphatic double victory at the Bermuda School Sports Federation 50 Metre Swimming Championships, securing top honours in both the Middle and Senior divisions at the National Sports Centre, while Saltus Grammar School claimed the Primary crown.
A packed schedule at Devonshire saw the island's brightest young aquatic talent go head-to-head across three tiers of competition, with Warwick and Saltus once again proving the dominant forces in the pool.
Saltus set the pace early in the day during the primary meet, racking up 327 points to fend off a spirited challenge from runners-up Warwick Academy, who finished on 297 points. Bermuda High School secured third place with 177 points, while Somersfield Academy placed fourth on 140 points.
The momentum shifted decisively towards Warwick Academy once the older age groups took to the water.
In a fiercely contested middle school division, Warwick pulled away to claim the championship title with 235 points. Somersfield Academy mounted an impressive campaign to secure second on 193 points, narrowly keeping primary winners Saltus at bay in third with 179 points, while Bermuda High School collected 86 points in fourth.
Warwick completed their stellar afternoon by dominating the senior school championship, producing a commanding tally of 302 points to capture the silverware. Saltus took second place with 145 points, just ahead of Bermuda High School, who rounded out the podium positions with 126 points.
