The Bermuda Cricket Board (BCB) has officially launched its search for the island’s next generation of elite cricketing talent as Bermuda prepares to host the ICC Americas U19 Division 1 World Cup Qualifiers in August 2027.
The High-Performance initiative marks the beginning of an intensive development cycle designed to select, refine, and elevate young athletes capable of competing at the highest international level on home soil.
Leading the program is newly appointed National U19 Head Coach Ryan Steede, a former member of Bermuda’s successful 2005 World Cup Qualification campaign and experienced mentor within Bermuda’s cricket ecosystem. Coach Steede and the BCB are casting a wide net to identify dynamic batsmen, fast bowlers, spinners, and elite fielders who possess the drive to represent the nation.
"My primary focus is to instill discipline, a strong work ethic, and tactical sharpness into this squad so we can capitalize on hosting in 2027 and secure our spot at the U19 World Cup," said Head Coach Ryan Steede.
