Bermudian sailor Sophia Dias helped Tulane University make a strong start to their 2026-27 home campaign as the Green Wave clinched second place overall at the Sugar Bowl Women's Fleet Races.
In their opening home regatta of the season, Tulane compiled a final tally of 135 points across eight races in three divisions, finishing as runners-up behind regatta winners Stanford.
Dias delivered an impressive showing in the B Division, partnering with crew Caroline Caudron to guide their boat to third place in the division and fifth overall in the fleet with a 45-point total.
The pair showed sharp tactical consistency throughout the weekend, notching three top-four finishes across their eight outings, headlined by an excellent second-place finish in their opening race.
