Bermudian golfer Dylan Muso endured a testing, weather-affected opening day at The Northeast Elite as rain disrupted play at the Williamsport Country Club in Pennsylvania.
Inclement conditions forced an early suspension of play, leaving the McDaniel College freshman stranded through 16 holes of his first round. When play was halted, Muso was tied for 35th on the individual leaderboard at four-over par.
Muso’s round was largely defined by steady, disciplined course management, carding 13 pars and picking up a lone birdie on an otherwise difficult afternoon for scoring.
However, a single errant hole proved costly for the McDaniel competitor. Alongside one bogey, an untimely quadruple bogey accounted for the majority of his dropped shots, dampening an otherwise resilient ball-striking display.
Muso and his McDaniel team-mates will return to the course to conclude their remaining holes before launching straight into the final round, with the Bermudian looking to limit further damage and climb back up the field.
