Bermudian offshore powerboat racers enjoyed a historic day on the Gulf Coast as Luis Martins and Nick Imprescia stormed to victory at the Clearwater Offshore Nationals, while Steven Bridges and David Selley clinched the prestigious Super Stock National Championship.
Piloting the S-12 Nuff Said, driver Martins and throttleman Nick Imprescia produced a commanding lights-to-flag performance in Florida. The duo seized the initiative from the drop of the green flag, dictating the pace across choppy open-water conditions and mastering the turns to lead from start to finish.
Behind them, the S-25 Team Bermuda duo of driver Steven Bridges and throttleman David Selley mounted a composed, tactically astute challenge to cross the line in third position.
Having arrived at the final event as series leaders, the podium finish proved more than enough to secure the overall points crown. Bridges and Selley were officially crowned Super Stock National Champions, capping an extraordinary season of consistency and speed at the summit of offshore racing.
