Maxwell Curtis and crew Wesley Tucker delivered an imperious sailing display to capture the inaugural Zaniko Hendrickson Memorial Regatta in convincing fashion off the Mid Atlantic Sailboat Club.
Facing a testing fleet across four races, Curtis and Tucker took control from the outset, mastering the waters to record three consecutive race victories and build an unassailable lead. With the title firmly wrapped up in dominant style, the pair elected not to start the final contest of the day.
Greg Wade and crew Geno Smith mounted a spirited challenge to secure runners-up honours with a five-point tally. Wade and Smith claimed a race win of their own, flanked by two second-place finishes and a fourth, to cap a consistent regatta.
The podium was completed by Eli Furbert and crew Sarah Frith, who finished third on seven points. The duo put together a solid series of results, picking up two second-place finishes, a third, and a fourth to round out a fiercely contested regatta held in honour of Hendrickson.
